PD Plus is a home-based, locally owned and operated tutoring service. We have successfully tutored pre-kindergarten to university level students in Vancouver, Burnaby, West Vancouver, North Vancouver, Richmond, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, New Westminster and Surrey since 2003. We are celebrating our 10th anniversary this year!
We have approximately 120 well-educated and experienced tutors working for us, so our time to find a match for you is usually 1-3 days. It is rare, but if we cannot find you a tutor we will refer you to the tutoring agency we would go to if we needed a tutor. We have tutors in all areas of math, English, science, chemistry, biology, physics, social studies, and Foreign languages such as Spanish and French tutors. Our tutors also help with study skills tutoring, i.e. test-taking, time-management and organizational skills. We personally interview all of our tutors and do thorough reference and background checks. We make sure they are 100% confident and proficient in their subject area(s) and then based on your son or daughter's needs we work diligently to match him or her with the most suitable tutor. We also ensure the tutors we hire are well-organized, prepared, punctual, understanding, patient, reliable, emotionally intelligent problem-solvers and encouraging. In providing educators of this caliber we not only eliminate your child’s stress in helping them become more knowledgeable, but the side benefits are a happier, more relaxed, self-confident, motivated child or teenager. Angela is a former tutor and ESL teacher with extensive experience in the field of education. She founded PD Plus in the fall of 2003 to meet the needs of diverse groups of students.
